Iran's new supreme leader confirmed he was injured

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially confirmed that the country's newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been injured. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei confirmed the situation in an interview with Italy's Corriere della Sera newspaper, stating that the Leader's health is not in serious danger. According to him, the date for the Supreme Leader's address to the people has not yet been determined.
Baqaei also emphasized that the Assembly of Experts had prepared a list of three or four potential candidates for this high office and selected Mojtaba Khamenei from among them. Earlier, international media reported that the new Leader had been injured during initial strikes carried out by US and Israeli weapons on February 28.
According to reports, he may have sustained an injury to his leg. For this reason and due to strict security protocols, he has recently been absent from public view.
The military operations launched by the US and Israel on February 28 were carried out with the aim of preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. As a result of the ongoing conflict, at least 1,300 people have been killed.
Among the victims was former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Following his death, on March 9, the Assembly of Experts officially announced his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as the new Supreme Leader.
Currently, the country's leadership is awaiting the new Leader's recovery and the commencement of his official duties.
