A rocket struck a passenger bus in Kharkiv, killing three people.

On the morning of March 13, 2026, a tragic incident occurred near the village of Novaya Aleksandrovka in the Kupyansk district of Kharkiv region. Zamin.uz reported on this event.
A passenger bus traveling from Kharkiv city to the Velykyi Burluk district was hit by an enemy rocket strike. There were a total of fifteen people on board the vehicle.
According to an announcement by the regional prosecutor's office, the driver and two passengers lost their lives as a result of this attack, while four others sustained injuries of varying severity. Due to the power of the explosion, nearby private residential buildings also suffered significant damage, once again proving the constant danger facing civilians.
Opinions among officials differ regarding the types of weapons used in the attack. While Andrey Kanashevich, head of the Kupyansk district military administration, stated that the strike was delivered by an attack drone similar to Russia's Lancet, the regional prosecutor's office pointed to the Iskander-M ballistic missile.
Such reports simultaneously highlight the complexity of monitoring during processes involving the use of multiple types of weapons. This incident is assessed as a continuation of intensifying air aggression across Ukrainian territory.
The violence was not limited to Kharkiv but also spread to other regions. In the city of Balakliya, Russian forces carried out a series of drone attacks on residential complexes, causing several explosions.
Destruction was also observed in the southern regions. In the Odesa region, enemy drones targeted port infrastructure, specifically food warehouses.
As a result, a fire broke out, which was subsequently extinguished. Local authorities reported that no people were killed in this incident.
Significant losses also occurred in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, a drone attack was launched against a fuel tanker truck in the Zaporizhzhia district, resulting in the death of a 57-year-old man and injuring one other person.
In the evening, a multi-story residential building in Zaporizhzhia city was also targeted, although the exact number of casualties from this strike is still being determined. These events demonstrate coordinated actions by Russian forces aimed at disrupting logistics and intimidating civilians in various regions.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the scale of the night attack was very large, with one ballistic missile and 116 attack drones used across the country. Although air defense systems successfully intercepted 117 of these drones, the remaining parts caused damage in seven regions.
The constant use of high-precision missiles alongside swarms of cheap drones signifies a new tactic aimed at distracting defense systems. As the conflict continues, casualties among civilians remain the most tragic consequence of these relentless air campaigns.
