Five American aircraft were damaged in the Iranian attack on Saudi Arabia

A recent missile attack allegedly carried out by Iran has dealt a severe blow to Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to international media outlets, specifically The Wall Street Journal, five US refueling aircraft on the ground were damaged in this attack. Although the aircraft were not completely destroyed, they require long-term repairs, and efforts to address the consequences of the strike are currently underway.
Officials have confirmed that there were no fatalities during the incident and all military personnel remained safe, which is considered a stroke of luck. This event highlights that the United States' operational challenges in the region have intensified further.
In recent days, the number of damaged or lost refueling aircraft has reached at least seven. This figure also includes two separate tragic accidents that occurred in Iraqi airspace.
The US Central Command had previously announced the deaths of six crew members aboard a crashed aircraft in western Iraq. These events have marked a very sorrowful and difficult period for the US Air Force.
Despite the seriousness of the reports, the US military command has not yet issued an official and detailed statement regarding the specific strike at Prince Sultan Air Base. While Reuters news agency, which visited the scene to conduct an inspection, confirmed the information, it also emphasized that fully and independently verifying all aspects of the situation remains difficult under current circumstances.
The security situation in the Middle East continues to remain volatile, and tensions persist in affecting regional stability. Observers and analysts are closely monitoring the ongoing investigations into the number of damaged aircraft and the source of the missile strike.
Future actions and decisions to be taken by the Pentagon remain under observation.
