Iran's Foreign Minister spoke about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi provided important clarification regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, which has recently attracted global attention. Zamin.uz reported on this.
According to him, the movement of international vessels has not ceased in this strategically significant maritime passage, and it remains largely open. However, as the minister emphasized, the actions being carried out there are limited only to ships and tankers belonging to certain countries.
In an interview with the MS Now TV channel, Araqchi noted that numerous merchant ships and oil tankers continue to move freely through the Strait of Hormuz today. According to him, such restrictions were not sudden outcomes of Iran's policy but serve a specific purpose.
In his statement, the minister specifically emphasized that the strait has been declared closed only for ships and tankers belonging to the United States of America and the State of Israel. The Iranian official stated that concerns expressed by other countries regarding maritime security in the region are not directly related to Tehran's general policy.
In his opinion, special measures are being taken by Iran only against countries acting against it and their allies. The minister stated: the strait is actually open, but closed for ships belonging to our enemies.
Using this passage has become difficult for those attacking us and their supporters. Ships of all other countries can freely use this important passage.
It is known that the Strait of Hormuz is a strategic maritime route through which a significant portion of global oil transport passes. Therefore, any political or military tension in this area can have a major impact on the international energy market and global trade routes.
The current situation shows that while Iran is taking clear and well-thought-out steps to maintain stability in the region, this situation demands deep attention from the international community.
