The Levotobi Laki-laki volcano, located in the eastern part of Indonesia, has become active again. According to reports from CNBC Indonesia and Central Asia, this natural event is causing serious concern among the local population and official agencies.

The ash and billowing smoke rising from the volcano reached an altitude of 5.5 km, approximately 7,000 meters above sea level. The alert level has been raised, with the government increasing the volcanic activity level from III to IV — which is considered the highest danger sign.
Wind is spreading the ash
Experts note that the constant movement of the wind is dispersing the ash particles over a wide area. This indicates that the volcanic activity remains unstable and at a high level. Therefore, citizens are advised to stay away from areas with potential natural hazards.
Proximity within a 6–7 km radius is prohibited
Local authorities and rescue services have advised residents, especially tourists, not to approach within a 6–7 km radius of the volcano and to maintain calm. It was also emphasized that the risk of lava flows and flooding should not be overlooked in rainy weather conditions.
