Tramp calls NATO allies cowards

US President Donald Trump once again drew the attention of the international community with his sharp statements. Zamin.uz reported on this.
He voiced severe criticism against NATO allies, openly calling them cowards. The President announced his views via the Truth Social network and assessed the situation clearly and directly.
According to Trump, allied countries are dissatisfied with the rise in oil prices resulting from the war but refuse to take clear and serious measures to stabilize the situation. Specifically, he noted that partners are not showing sufficient activity in ensuring safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
Here, one of the least risky and simplest military steps could have been taken, yet it is said that allies cannot even muster the courage for such actions. Along with this, the President expressed a controversial opinion regarding NATO's future, emphasizing that without US participation, the alliance would become merely a paper tiger.
According to him, Washington will remember such a position, which could seriously impact future cooperation. Trump had requested military aid from allies to ensure security in the strategically important region between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran.
However, Germany and several other countries rejected this call. Following this decision, Trump called NATO's mistake very large and foolish.
He particularly evaluated Germany's position as astonishing, expressing a sharp attitude. At the same time, he emphasized that the US does not necessarily need allies' help at all, once again demonstrating his tendency to act unilaterally in foreign policy.
Representatives of the German Ministry of Defense, commenting on the situation, stated that the country continues consultations with allies regarding security issues in the Near and Middle East. However, Berlin openly stated that it would not send an additional military contingent beyond the forces currently participating in existing missions.
According to reports, starting from February 28, the Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately one-fifth of global oil and liquefied gas transport passes, was effectively closed due to US and Israeli actions against Iran. This had a serious impact on the global energy market, causing a sharp rise in prices.
Attacks by Iran on certain oil facilities and tankers in the Persian Gulf region are further exacerbating the situation. This circumstance is also increasing pressure within the US, as rising fuel prices are directly affecting voters' sentiments.
How this situation develops in the future will be of decisive importance not only for politicians but also for the global economy.
