Trump Calls Israeli President Herzog Weak and a Liar

Recently, unexpected cooling has been observed in diplomatic relations between the White House and Tel Aviv. Zamin.uz reported on this matter.
US President Donald Trump expressed sharp criticism regarding the political situation in Israel's leadership, causing a major stir on the international stage. These disagreements are leaving deep marks in conversations between the leaders of the two countries.
Donald Trump voiced serious dissatisfaction with the activities of Israeli President Isaac Herzog. According to the White House leader, Herzog was assessed as weak and incompetent because he is failing to fulfill his promises regarding the pardon of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to Trump, the Israeli leadership has been deceiving him. Although Herzog promised several times to free Netanyahu from legal proceedings, in practice he has delayed this matter.
The US President called the ongoing legal proceedings against the Prime Minister foolish. In his opinion, these court cases are distracting Netanyahu from managing the war, which is his main task.
However, Israeli officials emphasize that Herzog never made a specific promise of pardon and that the issue is being considered only within the framework of the law. For the first time in Israeli history, an incumbent prime minister is participating as a defendant in a criminal case.
Netanyahu has been charged with serious accusations such as bribery, fraud, and abuse of power. He is suspected of receiving expensive gifts from billionaires and entering into secret agreements with media outlets.
At the same time, the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu for war crimes in Gaza. The Trump administration continues to support Israel and has imposed serious sanctions on the International Criminal Court.
This measure is being evaluated as strong pressure against a global justice institution. We ask our readers: in your opinion, will the President of Israel pardon Netanyahu under Trump's pressure, and will court proceedings negatively affect the course of the war?
