Eron began secretly paying ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian government has started collecting informal payments from cargo ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data released by the international agency Bloomberg, an additional payment of approximately two million US dollars is being demanded for each ship. This situation essentially resembles a new customs fee introduced for passage through the strait.
Currently, it is unclear in what format and currency this payment is being made, as the process has not yet been incorporated into an official system. Sources consulted on the matter emphasize that these payments are being carried out in a secretive manner without public announcement.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet provided an official explanation for this situation. According to some analysts, Tehran is considering the idea of formalizing such payments in the future as part of a broad diplomatic agreement aimed at resolving the conflict and stabilizing the situation in the region.
However, for other countries in the Persian Gulf region, this measure remains difficult to accept even though it is still informal. They assess this move as a threat to their state sovereignty, the creation of a dangerous precedent for the future, and an abuse of control over energy export routes.
Since tensions began in the region, the number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz has decreased significantly. The majority of the few ships allowed to pass are directly linked to Iran, which is having a serious impact on the global economy.
