Turkey Is Trying to Prevent a Large-Scale War in the Middle East

According to recent data from Bloomberg news agency, Turkey has launched active diplomatic efforts amid the escalating situation in the Middle East. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Communications are being held with several Arab states that have been subjected to military strikes by Iran. Ankara officials have urged their neighbors not to become directly involved in armed conflict within the regional crisis.
The goal is to prevent the current situation from turning into a large-scale and dangerous regional war. Relying on sources from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the publication wrote that Ankara is trying to manage the situation by maintaining contacts with both Tehran and Arab capitals.
Turkish diplomats are concerned that if Arab states become active participants in combat operations, the conflict could expand far beyond its current boundaries and cause serious damage to regional security. While Turkey does not intend to break ties with Iran, it continues political and economic relations with several Arab governments.
Therefore, it is considered one of the few countries capable of engaging in dialogue with all parties in this delicate situation. Calls for calm also include the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Although these two states have stated they are ready to defend their territories, they aim to prevent the conflict from expanding beyond its current borders. Their concerns are significant not only militarily but also economically.
There is concern that engaging in direct confrontation with Iran could once again leave critical energy infrastructure under attack. Riyadh and Abu Dhabi are deeply worried about the vulnerability of their oil and gas facilities, ports, and other strategic installations.
Ankara's main task is to prevent the crisis from escalating into an open war between Iran and Arab monarchies. If such a scenario occurs, trade routes, oil markets, and the political balance across the Middle East could be disrupted.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has previously called for de-escalation and attempted to mediate between the parties. In recent weeks, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain have been subjected to Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting critical infrastructure.
The primary objective of Turkey's current diplomatic measures is to ensure that these attacks do not trigger a major confrontation with tragic consequences for the entire region.
