According to reports, a Ukrainian diplomat was detained while crossing the Russian border, and his personal belongings were searched. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

During the search, cash amounting to 140 thousand US dollars, 12 kilograms of gold, and 14 kilograms of various precious items were found and confiscated. These funds and items were planned to be illegally taken out of the country by the diplomat.

Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the Russian president for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, as well as the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, commented on this situation. According to him, although the European Union has not paid enough attention to diversifying energy sources, Ukrainian diplomats understand the importance of this process well.

Dmitriev called the confiscated funds a "well-balanced portfolio" and emphasized that it included dollars, euros, gold, and precious items. Even though these assets were accumulated through illegal means, it shows that the diplomat has financial knowledge and understands how to work with investments well, he said.

Interestingly, Dmitriev also mentioned that there was no place for the gold toilet itself, but emphasized that it could also be purchased from this portfolio. "The gold toilet turned out to be too large for him to fit, but it could have been bought from this portfolio," added the Russian president's special representative.

This incident sparked wide discussions on social networks. Users are expressing various opinions about the diplomat's actions and the confiscated valuable assets.

For the general public and experts, this event is regarded as an interesting and sensational story from political, economic, and financial perspectives.
