Uzbekistan Embassy in Seoul issues statement regarding death of Nozima Kim

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul has issued an official statement following various unsubstantiated reports circulating on social media regarding the death of Uzbek citizen Nozima Kim in South Korea. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Currently, the case is under the strict supervision of South Korean law enforcement agencies. According to the embassy, close contact with local police was established from the very first days of the tragedy, and necessary measures are being taken to ensure a comprehensive, objective, and transparent investigation.
As part of the investigation, the deceased's mother, Feruza Alimbekova, was invited to South Korea. There, she participated in several official meetings as a representative of the victim's side.
Specifically, a special dialogue was organized at the Pyeongtaek Police Station with the participation of lawyers and diplomatic representatives. During the meeting, detailed information was provided regarding the preliminary findings of the investigation and the results of additional examinations.
According to official documents provided by the Korean side, no signs of homicide were found on the body of the deceased. Based on forensic medical examination and in-depth analysis, the death has been assessed as a probable suicide.
Blood samples, fingerprints, and DNA tests obtained during the investigation showed no traces of poisoning or signs of severe external physical pressure on the body. Furthermore, CCTV footage from the scene and medical facilities was fully presented to the relatives of the deceased.
Police representatives emphasized that certain photographs circulating on social media are not related to the official investigation documents. A warning was issued that spreading such misinformation could lead to legal liability.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan is monitoring the situation regularly. Relevant authorities urge citizens to rely only on official sources and not to believe unconfirmed reports.
