A large-scale secret weapons warehouse has been uncovered in Istanbul, Turkey, following an extensive operation by law enforcement agencies. According to Zamin.uz, the secret location was situated in the Pendik district within an underground water reservoir.

Leading Turkish news outlets reported detailed information regarding the incident. Istanbul police effectively utilized modern technology, including drones, to detect this illegal activity.

Following prolonged surveillance and analysis, the criminals' movements were brought under full control. Subsequently, a surprise search was conducted in the designated area, leading to the discovery of the hidden underground storage.

During the search, a vast quantity of spare parts intended for the production and assembly of weapons was found. According to official data, police officers seized more than three thousand pistol parts, nearly two thousand bolt mechanisms, and numerous other components as evidence.

Experts concluded that these parts were used to illegally manufacture finished firearms. Four individuals suspected of involvement in this criminal activity were detained at the scene.

Investigative proceedings are currently underway against these persons. Police are working to identify other members of this illegal network and determine the destination of the weapons.

Turkish authorities stated that this discovery remains one of the largest warehouses identified simultaneously as part of the fight against illegal arms trafficking in the country. Such operations are a significant step toward ensuring national security and dismantling the activities of criminal groups.

A comprehensive investigation into the matter is ongoing.
