Israel opened an investigation into the death of a prisoner in police custody.

A photo of a Gazan man detained by Israeli forces in a distressing condition has spread widely on social media, sparking sharp debates among the public, Zamin.uz reported.
The image shows the man with his hands and feet bound, eyes closed, and suspended by a long rope from a crane. Following international outcry over the man’s condition, Israeli authorities announced they had launched an internal investigation.
According to Al Jazeera, the incident has raised serious human rights concerns. The circulated photo depicts the Gazan detainee stripped of prison clothing and completely deprived of the ability to move.
Israel acknowledged the authenticity of the photo. In an official statement, it emphasized that such actions are completely contrary to the values and established rules of the Israeli military.
However, no clear information has yet been provided about the identity of the person in the photo, his health condition, or where he is being held. According to reports, the photo was first posted on Instagram with a caption in Hebrew reading “Good morning.”
Later, the post was removed from the page where it was published. The leadership of the Israeli army stated that an investigation is underway into the incident, and if soldiers are found at fault, they will be held accountable in accordance with the law.
A man named Abu Nassar confirmed that the detained man in the photo is his son, Usama. According to the father, he recognized his son by distinctive marks and scars on his body.
Specifically, it is said that the injury marks on the left leg of the person in the photo match those on Usama’s leg. This situation has been a heavy blow to the parents, who expressed deep fear for their son’s fate.
According to relatives, Usama was detained in March of this year during clashes between Israel and Hamas, along with his one-and-a-half-year-old child. Although the young child was released that same day, family members noticed unusual injury marks on the child’s legs.
Israeli forces denied allegations of cruelty toward the child, suggesting that the injuries could have occurred accidentally as a result of warning shots. Currently, investigations continue into this complex situation.
