The first-grade admission process in Uzbekistan will transition to a fully digital format

For the 2026-2027 academic year in Uzbekistan, the admission process for the first grade of general secondary education schools will be carried out in a fully digital format. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has provided an official statement regarding this innovation. Now, parents can use a convenient and transparent system to enroll their children in school without the hassle of unnecessary paperwork.
The admission process will be organized in two stages. In the first stage, from June 20 to July 31, children within the micro-district will be admitted.
In the second stage, online applications for areas outside the micro-district will be accepted from August 1 to August 31. This year, the coverage of the online admission system has been expanded significantly.
Specifically, the number of districts and cities served by this service has increased from 64 to 135, and the number of schools has risen to 5,689. Applications can be submitted via the Single Interactive State Services Portal or a dedicated school platform.
For the new academic year, children who will turn 7 years old will be admitted to the first grade. This applies to boys and girls born before December 31, 2019.
In areas where the digital system has not yet been introduced, admission will be carried out in the traditional manner, i.e., by the schools themselves. To ensure the transparency of the process, all necessary information will be posted at the schools.
Additionally, by the start of the academic year, President's gifts consisting of twelve types of school supplies will be delivered to all schools. These gifts are scheduled to be delivered to the locations by August 20.
These changes create convenience for parents and serve to further simplify the school admission process. Now, because all documents can be processed remotely, queueing or unnecessary trouble will be eliminated.
This system is an important step toward improving the quality of education and digitizing management.
