In February 2025, Uzbekistan's light vehicle imports decreased by 3.53 times, according to Spot, citing data from the Customs Committee.
Compared to February 2024, the volume of car imports decreased by 2.82 times in quantity and by 3.53 times in value. In January, only 2,570 cars were imported, with a total value of 44.87 million dollars.
- The number of gasoline cars decreased by 2.78 times, and the import value fell from 97.1 million dollars to 34.2 million dollars.
- The import of electric vehicles decreased by 4.32 times, amounting to 9.5 million dollars. Their price dropped to 10.21 thousand dollars.
- The import of hybrid cars shrank by 21 times, with a value not exceeding 1.15 million dollars. However, their average price increased by 18.1%, reaching 26.26 thousand dollars.
Market shares:
- The share of internal combustion engine vehicles increased from 60.99% to 61.71%.
- The share of electric vehicles rose from 26.27% to 36.58%.
- The share of hybrid vehicles fell from 12.74% to 1.71%.
Additionally, in January-February, Uzbekistan did not import any diesel light vehicles.
