
Since the beginning of this year, the number of independent taxi drivers working with aggregators in Uzbekistan has been decreasing. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Over the past seven months, their number has decreased by more than 40,000 people. This information was provided by the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the results of the first seven months of 2024, 215 taxi aggregators have been integrated into the information systems of tax authorities. By the end of last year, this figure was 155.
During this period, a total of 262.2 million passenger trips were made. Most customers prefer to pay in cash.
This payment accounts for 72.2 percent of the total amount, which is 3.6 trillion soums. Non-cash payments account for 27.8 percent, which is 1.4 trillion soums.
The average cost of a trip is 19,077 soums, which is slightly higher than last year. Currently, approximately 457,300 independent drivers are engaged in passenger transportation through aggregators.
In the age distribution of drivers, those aged 30 to 50 make up the majority, accounting for 56.3 percent or 257,629 individuals. Those under 30 account for 36.3 percent, or 166,207 individuals, while those over 50 account for 7.3 percent or 33,477 individuals.
The number of female drivers reaches 3,480. The distribution of drivers' incomes is as follows: more than 1 billion soums in income exceeds 1,800 individuals, those with incomes between 500 million and 1 billion soums number 19,100, those earning between 100 million and 500 million soums number 113,700, those earning between 50 million and 100 million soums number 59,400, those earning between 10 million and 50 million soums number 122,800, and those earning up to 1 million soums number 140,200.
Among the most popular cars, Cobalt has a share of 23.5 percent, Nexia 21.5 percent, and Lacetti 16.9 percent. Electric vehicles account for 1.8 percent of the total number of cars.
The age distribution of cars is as follows: those less than 1 year old account for 2.1 percent, those between 1 and 3 years old account for 16.4 percent, those between 3 and 5 years old account for 42.5 percent, those between 5 and 10 years old account for 11.3 percent, and those over 10 years old account for 27.7 percent. A total of 98.8 billion soums in taxes have been paid to the state budget by aggregators, of which 55.4 billion soums is value-added tax.
