Fiat company has presented the new Multipla retro electric car model

Italy's famous Fiat auto concern has presented the new Multiplina concept model, designed for urban mobility, to the general public. Zamin.uz reported on this.
This four-seater tiny electric car is inspired by the brand's classic models from the 1950s and is considered the company's new strategic step in the field of micromobility. The new model is attracting the attention of specialists not only for its unique retro-style design but also for its modern electric technologies.
International automotive publications are providing detailed information on this. The Multiplina model, showcased at a special event held in Vatican City, is planned to enter serial production in 2028.
According to Olivier François, head of the Fiat brand within the Stellantis alliance, this car will become an important link filling the gap between the two-seater Topolino model and the traditional Fiat 500 hatchback in the company's lineup. This will provide customers with a wider range of choices in urban conditions.
The new Multiplina takes its name from the famous 600 Multipla model produced in 1956, which was known as the first family car of that era. In appearance, the new concept recalls its ancestor with its vertical nose, round lights, and distinctive look.
However, its technical capabilities are developed to fully meet today's requirements. The car falls into the quadricycle category, which allows it to be significantly more powerful and faster than existing small models.
Experts note that while previous tiny models were limited to a speed of 45 kilometers per hour, the new Multiplina can reach a speed of 90 kilometers per hour. This indicator allows it to be driven comfortably not only on narrow city streets but also on suburban roads.
Despite its compact size, the interior is designed for four people, and the battery capacity has been significantly increased. This serves to increase the distance covered on a single charge.
Fiat management considers the micromobility direction as the brand's main priority. Company head Olivier François emphasized that Fiat intends to take leadership specifically in the small-volume city car segment.
Such compact and economical vehicles are a very convenient solution for large cities with high population density and frequent traffic jams. The final design and all technical details of the new electric car are expected to be officially announced by the end of this year.
Through this model, Fiat aims to take the culture of eco-friendly urban mobility to a new level.
