Reno company has introduced a new multimedia system for cars

Renault, a company known worldwide, aimed to solve two major problems that modern car owners have been struggling with for a long time: complex multimedia systems and concerns related to the battery capacity of electric vehicles. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The openR link multimedia system being implemented in the company’s new generation models integrates Google technologies directly into the vehicle’s core software, setting entirely new standards in the field.
According to international publications, this innovation does not merely mirror an external app, but provides deep integration of Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play services with the vehicle. New models such as the Renault 4, Renault 5, Megane E-Tech, and Scenic E-Tech are equipped with this technology, offering drivers a familiar and convenient interface similar to that of a smartphone.
The most important aspect of the system is that it significantly reduces daily difficulties associated with driving an electric vehicle. For example, Google Maps not only shows the route but also plans optimal charging stations in advance, taking into account the battery charge level.
This helps alleviate the widely experienced concern among drivers known as “range anxiety.” With Google Assistant, drivers can adjust cabin temperature or control music via voice commands without taking their eyes off the road.
Renault announced that these services will be provided free of charge for five years to new car buyers, ensuring users receive continuously updated maps and smart services over the long term.
Currently, this integration is available in the retro-styled Renault 5, the rugged Renault 4 crossover, the elegant Megane E-Tech, and the family-oriented Scenic E-Tech designed for long trips. While interest in electric vehicles is growing in Uzbekistan’s automotive market, such technological solutions are also highly relevant for local drivers.
The system’s simplicity and its foundation in the widely familiar Google ecosystem among Uzbek users enhance the competitiveness of these models. In summary, the Renault-Google partnership is transforming the car from a mere means of transport into a smart gadget.
This integration allows drivers to access all necessary information easily without distracting them from the road, thereby contributing to driving safety.
