Yandex launches service showing fuel availability for drivers

Yandex, one of Russia's leading technology companies, has begun testing a new service that is very important for drivers. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Now, using a specially developed interactive map, car owners can find out in real time whether fuel is available at gas stations, depending on the distance. This innovation helps save drivers' time and avoid unnecessary detours in situations where there are problems with fuel supply or delivery.
Currently, this service is available only to taxi drivers. The new feature has been integrated into the Yandex Pro app, where the locations where other drivers have successfully refueled in the last hour are displayed.
Drivers can monitor the current situation directly by accessing a special section in the app's main window. The company's fueling service plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy of the data.
The system collects and analyzes data on successful payment transactions. At present, more than ten thousand gas stations are connected to this network, indicating the broad coverage of the database.
The system does not rely solely on automatic data; it also actively uses input from drivers. Users who are at or passing near a gas station can take a short survey in the app.
This helps ensure that the information on the map is always up-to-date and accurate. Using the interactive map, drivers can not only see where fuel is available, but also plot the shortest and most convenient route to their selected destination.
This feature is especially useful during urban traffic jams, as it helps reduce the extra distance traveled while searching for fuel.
For now, the project is operating in test mode.
Once the testing period ends and the results are analyzed, the company will consider adding this feature to general maps and navigation apps for all regular car owners. If the project delivers the expected results, it is expected to be the next important step in the field of digital maps.
Taking into account that this company's services are widely used in the Uzbek market, in the future, adapting such technologies to local conditions could create significant convenience for drivers. Currently, local users mainly use navigation and taxi services, but features like fuel monitoring are also considered very useful for regional markets.
