The Tashkent vehicle fleet is being enriched with eco-friendly transport. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In the near future, another 200 electric buses will be delivered to the capital from Yutong, a leading manufacturer in China. This was announced by the press service of "Toshshaharttransxizmat," which is responsible for urban passenger transport.
The modern electric buses have been specially designed considering the conditions of the Central Asian region. On June 28, the 10,000th bus produced for this region was ceremoniously presented at the Yutong factory.
This jubilee bus was purchased by "Toshshaharttransxizmat." The cooperation between Tashkent and Yutong has been actively developing for several years.
The first 20 electric buses were delivered to the capital at the beginning of 2022. In 2023, the company delivered 800 buses, of which 300 were electric buses and 500 were vehicles operating on compressed gas.
Additionally, in February 2024, Yutong Bus won the tender for the supply of 200 electric buses and corresponding charging stations for Tashkent. Major competitors such as BYD Auto Industry and Zhongtong Bus Holding were left behind in this tender.
This large project will serve to further develop the capital's transport system.
