The movement speed of vehicles in Uzbekistan is subject to strict limitations, aimed at enhancing road traffic safety. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In particular, speed limits are strictly monitored in populated areas and near social facilities. These rules are enshrined in law and are mandatory for all drivers.
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan reminded of the main requirements regarding speed limits. Accordingly, the speed of vehicles in populated areas should not exceed 70 kilometers per hour.
On roads around educational institutions such as schools and kindergartens, the speed should be 30 kilometers per hour within a distance of 300 meters. In residential areas and surrounding territories, that is, in the land areas between houses, the speed should not exceed 20 kilometers per hour.
Additionally, in the cities of Navoi and Tashkent, as well as in regional and district centers, the movement speed of vehicles should not exceed 60 kilometers per hour. These rules serve to ensure road traffic safety and reduce the number of accidents.
It is important for drivers to strictly adhere to these limitations. Furthermore, the road patrol service regularly conducts inspections to monitor speed and prevent violations.
Compliance with these rules is the responsibility of every driver.
