The Tashkent City Road Traffic Safety Department is implementing measures aimed at strengthening the control over the use of rented vehicles. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In particular, an official directive was issued prohibiting individuals under the age of 18, including school students, from operating vehicles in car-sharing services. On May 19, a working meeting took place between the leadership of the capital's Internal Affairs Department and representatives of companies engaged in car rentals and those providing services for wedding ceremonies.
The meeting discussed measures aimed at reducing road traffic incidents. The main focus was on the importance of not providing cars to individuals under 18, particularly school students, ahead of the "Last Bell" event scheduled for May 24.
During the meeting, representatives of car-sharing companies and vehicle fleets confirmed in writing that they were fully aware of the restrictions. They pledged to strictly adhere to traffic rules and not to provide vehicles to individuals without legal rights.
These measures serve to ensure road traffic safety in the capital.
