The online platform Kinopoisk has announced the production of the second season of the series "Kruṭaya peremena" and presented the project's first teaser trailer. This was reported by Upl.uz.
According to the information provided, the main setting of the plot will be Uzbekistan, as the main character is assigned to this country due to his service duties. The project's director and showrunner will remain Karen Oganesyan, who also worked on the first season.
The central character, Andrey Larionov, a school teacher of Russian language and literature, is played by actor Nikita Yefremov. He is appointed to a new position and oversees the launch of a Russian-Uzbek joint educational institution.
His responsibilities include not only teaching but also assessing the level of Russian language proficiency and professional qualifications of local teachers. In an interview with the press, the lead actor Nikita Yefremov emphasized the cultural aspect of the new plotline.
He said: "This story is about a Russian-Uzbek school opening in Uzbekistan. All teachers there must know Russian.
My character is sent there to check their professional qualifications, and he encounters not only humorous situations but also the peculiarities of the East." The actor stressed that his character deeply immerses himself in a new and unfamiliar environment.
New faces will be added to the project's cast. In particular, it has been confirmed that Ivan Dobronravov will play the role of the school director being built in Uzbekistan.
This expands the cast and introduces a new important character to the story. The decision to create a continuation was made following the great commercial success of the first season.
