
A scientific book about the Uzbek poet Usmon Azim was published in Turkey. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The author of the work, Turkish poet and literary scholar Fatih Sultan Yilmaz, announced this on his social media page. Yilmaz's scientific book titled "A Devotee of Uzbek Literature: Usmon Azim (Era, Personality, Work)" was published on the occasion of the poet's 75th anniversary.
The book consists of three chapters, with the first and third chapters authored by Fatih Sultan Yilmaz. The first chapter scientifically analyzes Usmon Azim's literary portrait, creative path, and the ideological directions in his works.
The second chapter compiles articles written by Uzbek and Turkish literary scholars. These articles have been translated into Turkish and are intended for Turkish readers.
The third chapter presents a conversation the author had with Usmon Azim in Tashkent. This interview includes previously unpublished thoughts and reflections of the poet regarding Turkish and world literature.
In his work, Fatih Sultan Yilmaz reveals not only the poet's creativity but also his inner world. According to Yilmaz, this book will be beneficial for the literature of the Turkic world.
Additionally, he published Turkish translations of Usmon Azim's poems as a separate book titled "Sessızce oturdum dünya içinde" through the "Bengü" publishing house. This collection includes poems from the poet's early creative period up to his latest works.
Fatih Sultan Yilmaz was born in 1995 in Trabzon and conducts research on the literature of Turkic peoples. He has also created scholarly works about Abay Qunanbayev and translated many poems of Uzbek, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and Azerbaijani poets into Turkish.
Usmon Azim is one of the prominent representatives of modern Uzbek poetry. His works such as "Holat," "Oqibat," "Ko‘zgu," "Jodu," and "So‘ngso‘zlar" have left a deep mark on Uzbek literature.
The poet was awarded the "Friendship" order in 1998 and is considered the author of nearly 3,000 poems.
