On November 24, 2025, the first Superman comic found in the attic of a house in northern California was sold at Heritage Auctions for a record price of $9.12 million. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
CNN reported on this. The comic was discovered during the process of organizing the house, and it was identified by the heirs of the late homeowner.
Among the findings were "Superman No. 1" published in 1939 and the first five issues of "Action Comics." Interestingly, this comic, which was originally sold for only 10 cents, is in excellent condition, and Heritage Auctions experts classified it among the highest quality copies.
This publication entered history as the first standalone comic about Clark Kent and Superman. The comic first appeared in the pages of "Action Comics" and was published by National Allied Publications (now DC Comics).
As a result of this sale, a new world record was set in the collectible comics market, marking an important event in history.
