USA and Uzbekistan: agreement on important minerals has been reached

New business contracts have been established between Uzbekistan and the USA in various fields.

A delegation led by the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Qudratov visited the USA and held negotiations with leaders of major companies, corporations, and industry associations.

On April 7, meetings were held with enterprises in the mining, hospitality, and food industries. During the meetings, companies were presented with the investment climate and favorable business conditions in Uzbekistan.

Company leaders highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and expressed their readiness to expand cooperation.

As a result, agreements were reached on the exploration and extraction of minerals, the construction of high-pressure grinding roller (HPGR) equipment, attracting innovative technologies, creating a value-added chain, and improving the qualifications of specialists.

Additionally, projects for the construction of new hotels in the tourism sector were discussed, and implementation timelines were established. A separate responsible person was appointed for each project.

It is worth noting that a memorandum on important minerals was signed between the two countries in September 2024.
