The first stage of the participatory budget program has been successfully completed.

The first stage of the Initiative Budget Program, implemented with the direct participation of citizens in Uzbekistan, has been successfully completed. Zamin.uz reported on this.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance officially announced the list of winning projects late yesterday. During this process, hundreds of thousands of citizens across the country exercised their right to vote, collecting a total of over ten million votes.
As a result, two thousand projects with a total value exceeding three trillion som were selected for funding. The majority of these are traditional initiatives, with only fourteen planned to be implemented on a partnership basis.
The project receiving the largest allocation exceeded three billion som, representing a very significant figure relative to the base calculation amount. In terms of vote count, the proposal from Ko'kdala district took first place, gathering over thirteen thousand votes.
The intensity of competition was particularly noticeable in certain districts of the Khorezm and Samarkand regions, with seven out of the ten projects achieving the highest results coming from these areas. On the other hand, the project that won with the fewest votes was located in Mo'ynoq district of Karakalpakstan, selected with only fifty votes.
This difference reflects the level of activity and competitive strength of the population in each region. Analyzing the composition of the winning projects revealed that residents focused most attention on road repairs.
At the same time, repairing schools and adapting them to modern conditions also held great importance. More than a hundred initiatives regarding the renovation of healthcare institutions were approved.
This clearly demonstrates how important transport, education, and medical services are for the people. On the day the results were announced, celebrations of joy took place in many neighborhoods.
Residents organized public gatherings, concerts, and other cultural events. In some places, ceremonies were held featuring fragrant cakes, colorful balloons, and even performers dressed as fairy tale characters as a sign of victory.
These scenes prove how seriously and responsibly citizens approached the voting process. The program was implemented in several stages from early February to late March, including proposal submission, sorting, and voting processes.
