OpenAI is now officially in Uzbekistan! ChatGPT has become a taxpayer
Artificial intelligence is taking over the stage! The leading American technology company — OpenAI has officially registered as a foreign company providing electronic services in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the Interregional Tax Inspection for Major Taxpayers.

ChatGPT — now a taxpayer!
According to the inspection report, the famous ChatGPT chatbot and the DALL·E neural image generator, known worldwide, have registered as a Value Added Tax (VAT) payer in Uzbekistan.

“The American company OpenAI has registered as a VAT taxpayer in Uzbekistan,” the official statement said.

What will be the impact on prices?
Currently, OpenAI is offering three versions of ChatGPT for Uzbekistan users:

- Free
- Plus — $20 per month
- Pro — $200 per month

The company's official start of tax payments may affect its pricing policy, but there is currently no official information on this matter. However, if there are any changes in prices, fans will be the first to know!

67th company
With this, the number of foreign internet companies registered in Uzbekistan has reached 67. Since the beginning of 2025 alone, 7 major companies have become official taxpayers in the electronic services sector.

Why is this important?
The official registration of OpenAI is a clear indication of the growing demand for digital services in our country. The state is striving for open and legal cooperation with internet giants.

In the near future, it is not out of the question that Google, Amazon, and other technological titans will take similar steps.

ChatGPT now not only answers questions but also officially pays taxes in Uzbekistan! The next stage of the digital revolution has begun.
