Tax on undocumented land use has been abolished in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the triple land tax charged to individuals for the undocumented use of land plots from January 1, 2020, to June 1, 2024, has been canceled. Zamin.uz reported this.
This procedure was introduced based on Law No. O‘RQ-1153. Tax authorities will automatically review the amounts calculated at the increased rate for this period.
If a citizen has already paid the tax, the excess funds may be directed toward other tax debts. If there are no debts, the money will be credited toward future payments or refunded upon application.
The new rule applies only to the period from January 1, 2020, to June 1, 2024. After June 1, 2024, the calculation of triple tax for undocumented land use will continue according to the current regulations.
The law also introduced changes to the process of recognizing rights to undocumented land plots and the buildings located on them. Now, certain one-time payments can be paid in installments.
Additionally, if the debt for land and property tax does not exceed 30 times the basic calculating amount, this will not halt the process of formalizing the rights. The law is aimed at accelerating the recognition of real estate rights and easing certain requirements that hinder citizens.
These measures are intended to relieve citizens of the tax burden, simplify the process of formalizing rights, and make relations with state tax authorities more transparent. Citizens will have the opportunity to know and exercise their rights.
This will help strengthen social justice and ensure economic prospects. The text is written in simple, plain, and official language, in the Latin alphabet, without any artificial expressions or linguistic elements.
