Moreno: Sochi will continue attacking football
Robert Moreno, the head coach of the "Sochi" team, gave an interview to "Match TV" ahead of the match against "Lokomotiv". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He talked about how the team had prepared for one league in the summer but was forced to play in another league. Moreno assessed his team's strength for the Premier League and emphasized that they are ready to fight for three points in every game.
Despite the limited time for preparation, he mentioned that he had almost formed the squad. He also noted that the presence of key players from the previous season means they are well-prepared.
The coach recalled the attacking football that the "Sochi" team displayed in the previous season. He pointed out that although there was a lot of attacking play at that time, it often did not yield positive results.
However, Moreno stated that the team would not abandon its style and would continue to play attacking football. He highlighted the importance of focusing on pressing and maintaining the team's identity.
Moreno also responded to rumors about the arrival of Mukhin and Volkov to the "Sochi" team. He said that the team's entire focus is currently on the match against "Lokomotiv".
He highly valued the contributions of players like Zinkovskiy and Vasiliev to the team. He emphasized that the reason he sees Vasiliev in the starting lineup is his confidence.
Zinkovskiy, being an experienced player, stated that he is developing alongside younger players in the team. The coach called on all players to strive for development and expressed his confidence in them.
