The "Akron" club from Tolyatti, hosting its home games in Samara, set a new record for the number of spectators. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The team’s press service provided this information. In the first round of the Russian championship, the match against Samara's "Krylya Sovetov" ended in a 1:1 draw and gathered 10,015 spectators.
The previous record was set in the 25th round during last season's match between "Akron" and Moscow's "Spartak," which had 8,728 attendees. Last season, "Akron" participated in the national football elite for the first time, finishing in ninth place with 35 points.
The club's management and players are seriously preparing for upcoming matches. The large number of spectators indicates a growing interest in football.
