Spartak's forward Anton Zabolotniy shared his thoughts for Match TV after the match against Dinamo Mahachkala. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In response to the question of whether they reviewed the mistakes made in the previous match, where Spartak lost 1:2, he said that they had analyzed such games and entered the field fully prepared. He emphasized that they aimed to justify themselves in front of the fans, keeping in mind the two defeats.
He also stated that Spartak has no right to lose at home. Zabolotniy noted that his starting position was unexpected for some spectators, but there is strong competition for the central striker position in the team.
He mentioned that he knew at the beginning of the week that he would play in the starting lineup. The coach decided to rest Ugalde, who joined later, and considered Zabolotniy to be more prepared.
He highlighted that there is healthy competition in the team, which creates an environment for each player to showcase themselves in training. He also noted that due to the long season, the likelihood of all players being needed in the team is high.
This, in turn, contributes to increasing the overall strength of the team.
