The head coach of the "Torpedo" club in Moscow, Oleg Kononov, commented on the team's poor start in the PARI first league competition. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
His team lost 2:3 at home to the "Chelyabinsk" team. According to Kononov, they tried to maintain ball control for a long time and organize attacks through positional play.
Since the opponent relied more on counterattacks, many attacks could have been stopped. However, in the first half, two set pieces and one attack resulted in goals.
The head coach emphasized that he cannot recall the last time the team conceded two goals from set pieces in a single match and promised that more attention would be paid to such situations in training. Additionally, before this season, the "Torpedo" team was expelled from the Russian Premier League due to fraud related to bribing referees.
The team is now testing its strength in the first league in the new season.
