The head coach of London’s Arsenal team, Mikel Arteta, responded to a question about the frequent transfers related to Chelsea players. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This summer, the Gunners managed to acquire two players from the Blues team. They are goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and winger Noni Madueke.
Under Arteta's leadership, Arsenal spent over 150 million euros on Chelsea players. According to the Spanish coach, "Perhaps there are many good players in the Chelsea team.
We focus only on the quality of the players, regardless of which club they play for." The transfer of Noni Madueke cost Arsenal 55.4 million euros.
Gunners fans did not fully approve of this deal. Some dissatisfied supporters even started a petition against the English player's transfer to the team.
At the same time, the coach expressed confidence in the team’s future plans and emphasized that they are always ready to improve the players' skills. Arsenal will strive for high results in the new season as well.
