Guillermo Abascal, who previously worked as the head coach of the "Spartak" team, commented on the former striker of the "red-whites," Quincy Promes. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This summer, the player was extradited to the Netherlands. There, he had previously been sentenced to prison twice: one and a half years for injuring a relative and six years for involvement in drug trafficking.
The case is currently under review, as Promes has submitted appeals. Abascal stated in an interview with "Match TV" that he does not have complete information about Quincy, but he hopes that the player's situation will improve and is awaiting a decision regarding his case.
It is known that Quincy Promes played for "Spartak" during two periods. In total, he appeared in 235 matches for the team, scoring 114 goals and providing 59 assists.
Abascal addressed the "Spartak" team, expressing his desire to closely monitor the situation and to resolve the player's matter fairly.
