According to Mundo Deportivo, the "blaugrana" team is nearing an extension of the contract with defender Jules Koundé. The recent interactions between the Catalan club and the 26-year-old French player's representative have been positive, and an agreement is expected to be signed soon.

Koundé has gained full trust from Barcelona's head coach Hans-Dieter Flick and the coaching staff. The player is ready to continue his career with the "blaugrana" team.

Jules Koundé has played 141 matches representing Barcelona, scoring seven goals and providing 18 assists in those matches. An agreement between the club and the player is expected to be formalized in the near future.
