Athletic Club has signed Jesus Areso from Osasuna

The Athletic Club has signed a contract with Jesus Areso, the right-back of the Osasuna team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

A six-year agreement was reached with the 26-year-old Basque player. Areso had moved from Osasuna to Athletic between 2017 and 2021.

After that, he returned to his parent club for three years and played on loan at Burgos for one season. The compensation amount paid by Athletic for the player is estimated to be around 12 million euros.

The Transfermarkt website also lists his value at this amount. So far, Areso has not participated in the Spain national team.

At the end of last season, Athletic finished in fourth place in La Liga and will participate in the UEFA Champions League in the new season. This transfer is expected to make a significant contribution to the team's goals for the new season.
