
The Madrid club "Atletico" officially announced the end of its collaboration with midfielder Saul Nyiges. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The contract with the 30-year-old player was terminated by mutual agreement of the parties. Saul joined the "Atletico" system in 2008 and has become one of the most recognizable players of the club over the last decade.
In the main team, he participated in 427 matches and scored 48 goals. This is the ninth highest number of appearances in the club's history.
During his time at "Atletico," Nyiges became a La Liga champion, won the Copa del Rey and Supercopa, and also lifted the Europa League trophy twice and the UEFA Super Cup once. On the club's official website, Saul was described as "one of the legends of the club," and gratitude was expressed for his loyalty to the team and his contribution to the annual successes.
