The head coach of Kaliningrad's "Baltika" team, Andrey Talalaev, confirmed that he is interested in inviting former "Akhmat" striker Bernard Berisha to the team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Kosovo player left the Grozny club in July and is currently a free agent. Today I spoke with Berisha.
First of all, I express my gratitude to him as a person, and then as a player, because he is ready to work with us. We will discuss this matter with the management and see if we have the opportunity, Talalaev said in an interview with "Championat."
"Baltika" became the winner of the First League in the 2024/25 season and returned to the Russian Premier League. Talalaev's team played a 1:1 draw against Moscow's "Dinamo" in the first round.
Berisha spent eight years at "Akhmat," where he was recognized as one of the team's key players. He also played for Makhachkala's "Anzhi."
Earlier, there were reports that the 33-year-old striker could continue his career specifically in Kaliningrad.
