On Wednesday, the Liverpool team officially announced the signing of striker Hugo Ekitike. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The 23-year-old player has moved from Frankfurt's Eintracht club, with his transfer fee estimated at around 90 million euros. Including bonuses, this amount could rise to 95 million euros.
Ekitike has been confirmed as the sixth most expensive transfer in history among French players. According to Actu Foot, only Kylian Mbappe (PSG, 180 million euros), Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona, 135 million euros), Antoine Griezmann (Barcelona, 120 million euros), Paul Pogba (Manchester United, 105 million euros), and Randal Kolo-Muani (PSG, 95 million euros) were transferred for higher fees.
The new player surpassed others in the ranking, such as Wesley Fofana, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Lucas Hernandez, whose transfer values were around 80 million euros.
Additionally, Ekitike has also surpassed Zinedine Zidane, who was bought by Real Madrid for 77.5 million euros at the time.
