Balbuena signs a contract with Gremio in Brazil
Paraguayan central defender Fabian Balbuena may soon continue his career in the Brazilian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, the 33-year-old player is in the final negotiation stage with the "Gremio" club and will sign a two-year contract with this team from Porto Alegre in the coming days. This will be a return to a familiar environment for Balbuena.
He previously played for the "Corinthians" club in Brazil, where he made over a hundred appearances and became the national champion in 2017. The player spent the last two seasons in Russia, playing for Moscow "Dynamo."
In the "White and Blue" team, he played 89 matches, scored eight goals, and was awarded bronze medals in the Russian Premier League twice. At the end of May, the Paraguayan player left the club as a free agent.
