Right-back Emerson Royal has returned to his homeland Brazil. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Brazilian footballer has moved from the 'Milan' club to the Flamengo team, as announced by the press service of the Rio de Janeiro club. The contract of the 26-year-old player is set until the end of 2028.
Emerson Royal played only one season with 'Milan'. Last summer, the 'rossoneri' bought him from London’s 'Tottenham' for 15 million euros.
According to Transfermarkt, 'Flamengo' purchased the defender for 9 million euros. The player appeared in a total of 26 matches for the 'Milan' team across all competitions but did not register any goals or assists.
Currently, 'Flamengo' is in second place in the Brazilian Serie A championship. The team is just one point behind the leader 'Cruzeiro', but they have one game in hand.
