The sports director of Gremio, Luis Vagner, commented on the reports regarding Zenit midfielder Markus Vendel. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Some media outlets had reported that the Gremio team was interested in the services of the Petersburg player. According to Vagner, there are no plans to add Vendel to the team during the current summer transfer window.
At the same time, it has become known that Brazilian clubs Palmeiras, Flamengo, and Al-Ittihad have shown interest in the player during this transfer window. Currently, Vendel remains with the Zenit team and is included in the squad for the 2025-2026 season.
His current contract with Zenit is set to last until the summer of 2028. Thus, the likelihood of the player moving to another club this season is low.
