Barcelona offered a new contract to Frenkie de Jong

Barcelona team is preparing to sign a new contract with midfielder Frenkie de Jong. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Catalan club is offering the player a contract that will be valid until 2028. The contract also includes the possibility of automatic extension for one year upon the fulfillment of certain conditions.

However, according to journalist Fernando Polo, Barcelona cannot currently start official negotiations because Frenkie de Jong has not resolved legal issues with his agent Ali Dursun. The player needs to terminate the contract with his previous agent in order to hire a new agent.

Currently, Frenkie de Jong's existing contract with Barcelona is valid until mid-2026. Thus, the club aims to continue its collaboration with the player in the future.
