19-year-old CSKA midfielder Kirill Glebov from Moscow emphasized the differences between the current head coach Fabio Chelestini and previous coaches. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, European coaches pay more attention to an attacking style of play. They want to play football not just by kicking the ball and running, but through passes and accurate deliveries.
Glebov stated that the current coach Chelestini is implementing exactly such principles of play. He also shared his thoughts on the previous coaches of the CSKA team.
Before Chelestini's arrival, the team was managed by Serbian coach Marko Nikolich for one season. As a result of his tactical changes, CSKA improved their performance in the second half of the championship, securing third place in the Russian Premier League and winning bronze medals.
From 2022 to 2024, the team was coached by Russian Vladimir Fedotov. In Glebov's opinion, each coach has a unique approach that positively impacts the team's performance.
The current coach demands more passing and ball control from the players. This is contributing to the further development of the team's playing style.
