Kafanov said he went on vacation from "Rostov"

He recently expressed his thoughts on leaving the "Rostov" club. The 65-year-old specialist had been active in this team since 2019.

Kafanov stated that he currently feels the need for a little rest. According to him, this break will help him gather new strength and emotions.

Through this, he can motivate the goalkeepers every day. Kafanov emphasized that he decided to leave the "Rostov" club of his own accord.

He mentioned that the club president understood and supported his decision. Additionally, Kafanov noted that his departure from the team is not related to the departure of head coach Valery Karpin.

It is known that Valery Karpin left the position of head coach of the Russian national team in the summer and took charge of the "Dinamo" club. Thus, Kafanov announced that he has decided to start a new phase in his career.
