Lovchev: The defensive problems at Spartak are intensifying

Evgeniy Lovchev, a veteran of the Moscow "Spartak" football club, shared his thoughts on the team's performances at the beginning of the new season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, the main issue for "Spartak" is arising in the defense line. Under the leadership of head coach Dejan Stankovich, the team has not yet shown a bright performance.

Additionally, the new players brought to the club are not delivering the results that fans expected. Lovchev discussed this on the air of the "Match TV" channel.

For reference, in the first two rounds of the 2025/2026 season, Moscow's "Spartak" club has accumulated three points. The team defeated Makhachkala's "Dinamo" club by a narrow score of 1:0 in the first round.

In the second round, however, "Spartak" lost significantly to Kaliningrad's "Baltika" club with a score of 0:3. So far, the team has not been able to find its game and has not met the hopes of the fans.

Experts believe that "Spartak" needs to improve its game and results moving forward.
