Aleksandr Gorbunov, who was the first coach of Aleksandr Sobolev, shared his thoughts on the striker's playing time. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the specialist, Sobolev's limited appearances in the Russian championship are concerning him. Gorbunov stated that in the last match against "Akmat," Sobolev played the full 90 minutes.
Most importantly, the player is still playing and has not been loaned to another team. The coach also emphasized that Kassyera and Gondo are not stronger than Sobolev.
In his opinion, this is a personal choice of the coach. This season, the 28-year-old Sobolev has played in two matches in the Russian Premier League and the Russian Cup.
He has recorded one assist to his name. The specialist noted that the player's potential is still quite high and he could play in the main squad in the future.
According to Gorbunov, if Sobolev continues to work on himself, he will become an important player for the team.
