Panenka: The "Panenka" penalty is not disrespect, it is skill

Czech football legend Antonin Panenka shared his thoughts about his famous penalty kick executed in the "panenka" style. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He emphasized that this kick is not meant to belittle or insult the opponent. Panenka first used this technique in the 1976 European Championship final, securing his place in football history.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. In his interview, Panenka stated that such execution is not a joke or disrespect, but rather chosen as the most effective way to score a goal.
According to him, the main goal of a player in the European Championship final is solely to score a goal; laughing at or belittling the opponent never crosses the mind. "I love football and have never intended to belittle the opponent.
In that situation, it was the best way to score," Panenka said on Cadena SER radio's El Larguero program. It is worth noting that Panenka recently commented on Braim Diaz's failure to score a "panenka" style goal in the Africa Cup of Nations final.
In his opinion, for such a kick to be successful, the player must have complete confidence and skill.
