Baltika left Orenburg behind in a five-goal match
In the second match of the Russian championship's third round on Sunday, the teams "Baltika" and "Orenburg" faced off against each other. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

At the beginning of this season, both clubs were considered main contenders to stay in the championship. However, the Kaliningrad team demonstrated that they are ready to fight for higher positions with their results in the initial rounds.

Last time, "Baltika" accumulated four points in two matches: they drew with "Dinamo" and won decisively against "Spartak." "Orenburg," on the other hand, recorded draws against "CSKA" and "Dinamo" Mahachkala.

In the cup matches, both teams were eliminated in the early stages. In the reported match, "Baltika" tried to pose more threats to the opponent's goal.

Initially, "Orenburg" launched a dangerous attack, and although Oganesyan found himself in a one-on-one situation, he hit the ball into the leg of goalkeeper Borisqon. During the game, the referee pointed to the penalty spot, but Ilya Petrov sent the shot to the post.

However, the VAR system ordered a retake of the penalty, and Xil accurately sent the ball into the net. Before the break, "Baltika" opened the scoring and had several more opportunities to increase the lead.

In the second half, another goal was scored. Following the actions of the Petrov brothers, the ball reached Maksim, who scored the second goal.

"Orenburg" quickly responded – Bolotov reduced the deficit. Later, Ofor from "Baltika" scored the third goal.

"Orenburg" also responded with Gyurlyuk's precise shot, bringing the score to 3:2. No more goals were scored before the end of the match.

"Baltika" won their first home match of the season, accumulating a total of seven points and climbing to higher positions in the league table. "Orenburg," on the other hand, suffered their first defeat in this championship and remains with two points.
